COACHES

Our amazing coaching staff is returning 4 coaches from last year with one new addition. At Lee's Crossing, we pride ourselves in having the most fun of any time while also getting excited about swimming fast. Our coaches strive to always produce new and creative ideas so our swimmers enjoy coming to practices and meets. We also have plenty of swimming experience to help improve stroke technique and make our swimmers faster.

JACOB KING

HEAD COACH

This is going to be my 4th year coaching Lee's Crossing and 2nd as head coach. I just finished my sophomore year at UGA where I am studying mechanical engineering. I've been swimming since the age of 5 and started summer league when I was 8. My first season I begged my mom to quit because the water was too cold but she urged me to continue. 12 years later, here I am, too old to swim in summer league and grateful for the many summers I spent swimming. I also swam for the Marietta High School varsity team all four years and was a team captain during my Junior year. I am still currently a Marietta record holder in the 100 breaststroke. Just prior to the completion of my Junior year in high school, I joined the Stingrays swim club. I swam with them up until I had to move out for college which is when I joined up with another year-round club in Athens. After achieving my goal of swimming the 100 breaststroke in under a minute towards the end of my freshman year in college, I decided to take a step away from year-round swimming and joined the UGA Swim Club where I am the current treasurer. I am looking forward to watching our swimmers race fast and have a lot of fun this summer!

Go Cyclones!

MINNY SIRIVEERAWAN

ASSISTANT COACH

This will be my 3rd year coaching Lee’s Crossing Swim Team. This year, I am thrilled to be working as an assistant coach alongside Coach Christi, Coach Jacob, Coach Luke and our newest coach! I have been swimming since I was 6 years old and was on a year-round team for 3 years in Thailand before moving to Marietta. I joined Lee’s Crossing summer league in 2011 and once in high school, I continued my swimming career on Marietta’s varsity team for all four years where I led as captain my Senior year. I am a Class of 2016 graduate from Marietta High and have just completed my second year at the University of Georgia studying business. I am also a part of the swim club at UGA and hope to continue to swim while at college. I am very excited to come back this summer and coach the best team out there. I look forward to another great season with the CYCLONES!!

KATHARINE SMART

JUNIOR COACH

Hi! My name is Katharine Smart and I first joined Lees Crossing Cyclones in 2008 when I was 7. I’ve swam every year since then and absolutely love it! I also swam year round for Stingrays Swimming for 3 years in middle school, and then I joined the Marietta High School varsity team as a freshman and will be continuing with my 4th year on the team this winter. This is my first year coaching and I am excited to have fun and see what this summer brings!
